How to get to Pucón

To get to Pucón comfortably and safely, there are two main options: intercity buses and transfer services. Buses, such as those from Buses JAC, offer daily departures from Temuco and other cities in the region, with varying levels of comfort and regular schedules.

On the other hand, transfers provide a more personalized service, with direct trips from the airport or the city of Temuco to your accommodation in Pucón, ideal for those seeking greater speed and convenience.

Transfer from Araucanía Airport

Regarding transportation, there is a shared transfer available at the airport for each flight to Pucón, dropping you off at your hotel or accommodation. The cost is CLP 13,000 per person (a very convenient rate).

No prior reservation is required; there is a service desk inside the airport upon arrival.

For the return trip, reservations are required and can be made through the company’s website. Pick-up points are available at your hotel in Pucón, and the transfer will take you to the airport according to your flight schedule.

  • JAC Buses operates regular departures on the Temuco → Pucón route.

  • The departure terminal in Temuco is the JAC Bus Terminal, located at Av. Balmaceda 1005.

  • In Pucón, JAC has its own terminal, located at Uruguay Street 505.

  • The JAC fleet includes different types of seats (classic, executive, sleeper, premium sleeper) to offer varying levels of comfort depending on the ticket purchased.

  • At the Pucón JAC terminal, services include restrooms, a parcel office, information, and luggage storage.

  • The trip typically takes around 2 to 2.5 hours, although this can vary depending on traffic, time of day, and intermediate stops.
