Call for Papers
The Organizing Committee of the RELATES 2026 Congress formally invites professionals, researchers, students, and intervention teams interested in working with families, couples, and communities from a systemic-relational perspective to the meeting to be held in Pucón, Chile.
Central Focus
A space for exchange around contemporary challenges (migration, transformations in family structures, social inequalities, gender and sexual diversity, new forms of parenthood, trauma, and violence).

About RELATES
RELATES is the European and Latin American Network of Systemic Schools , a space for meeting and exchange between institutions, professionals and academic communities linked to systemic thinking and work in mental health with families, couples and communities.
At its annual congress, the network brings together participants from Latin America to discuss the contemporary challenges facing families and to share clinical experiences, research, and interventions from a systemic-relational perspective.
The 23rd edition will be the first to be held in Chile, based in Pucón, in the Araucanía Region . Under the theme “Thinking about families beyond borders,” this edition seeks to strengthen Ibero-American exchange on the family, social, and cultural transformations that currently challenge clinical practice, training, and research.
What will you find at this conference?
You will be able to meet international and national leaders in systemic family therapy, reflect by sharing spaces of conversation around clinical practice and training, and participate in experiential workshops aimed at professional and academic updating in various specific areas of systemic family therapy.
It will also be an especially valuable space for networking, learning about experiences from different countries, connecting with network leaders, and planning new collaborations between students, professionals, and intervention teams.

Chilean Alliance Against Depression
Depression is a serious illness closely linked to suicidal behavior, representing one of the leading causes of premature death and significant economic impact in Chile. To address this problem, the Chilean Alliance Against Depression is implementing a successful four-tiered European intervention model in the Los Ríos Region, involving primary care physicians, community leaders, patients, and the general public. Through a three-year work plan, the main objective of this initiative is to promote timely treatment and destigmatize the illness to reduce suicide rates by at least 15%, reinforcing the vital message that depression is not a personal failure and that highly effective medical and psychological treatments are currently available.
